There are a total of 5 active terminals, with one currently under construction. The airport consists of 224 gates in total, with domestic and international departures located in different terminals.

Dallas Airport Departure Levels

Departure and check-in levels are located at Level 2 of Terminal A, B, C, and E, while on Level 3 of Terminal D. 

Dallas Airport Departures Through Terminal A

Only American Airlines departures are handled through DFW Terminal A, from gates A8-A39.

Departures at DFW Airport Terminal B 

DFW Airport Terminal B is also occupied by American Airlines for conducting its domestic operations. 

DFW Departures Via Terminal C

As Terminal C of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport has an efficient design for operating flights, some of American Airlines' flights also depart from here.

DFW International Departures at Terminal D

DFW Terminal D is the only and primary international destination serving terminal at this airport. All flights outside the United States depart from this terminal, including these airlines:

Departures through Terminal E at DFW Airport

The majority of domestic flights are operated from DFW Terminal E. Some Airlines also offer connecting flights from their assigned gates.

• Delta Air Lines: E12 to E17

• Frontier Airlines: E20

• JetBlue: E10

• Spirit Airlines: E18, E31 to E33

Departure Procedure at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport

Everyone will have to fulfill these departure requirements to board their flights via the Dallas Airport. A few steps in the process can be completed online as well to save time at the airport. 

1. Check-in: DFW Airport provides several ways to complete check-in for their flights, including web or app check-in, self-service kiosks, and airport counter check-in.

2. Submitting Bags: Those traveling with baggage will have to check in their bags and put them forward to be carried by the airline. 

3. Security Checking: TSA security screening will be done through general or priority lanes for premium passengers. 

4. Verification of Passports: International flyers will have to provide their passports to the customs and immigration office for visa verification.
